| Simple Syrup |
| 1 cup sugar 1 cup water |
Combine in small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Once this has boiled, you can turn it off... you are just melting the sugar. Can be stored in the refrigerator for about two weeks. Recipe can be doubled or tripled... just keep equal amounts of water and sugar. |
Vanilla Simple Syrup variation: After boiling the simple syrup, add 1 tablespoon of top-quality vanilla extract and let the heat evaporate some of the alcohol. Store as you would the regular simple syrup. |
