November-December 2005 Ebay Auctions

Christmas Roses
SOLD
11/30/05:

I wanted to create a set that was appropriate for Christmas, but one that wasn't SO obvious that you couldn't wear it year-round.  I'll let you be the judge of whether that was a successful attempt!  I think it will truly depend on how the beads are used.  I really am pleased with how these came out.  Dramatic white blooms with hand-made vine cane on a deep red background.  Lush with the colors of the season, this set of thin beads is so smooth and easy to wear.

Black Tie Affair

Sometimes I think simple is so elegant.  I was thinking along those lines with the idea for these beads popped into my mind.  A beautiful set of jet black cores, with 23K Italian Gold leaf, enrobed in a thick layer of crystal clear.  Perfect for that little black dress, with all sorts of design possibilities!

Royally Enrobed
STILL AVAILABLE

11/16/05:

I don't do a lot of dotty sets, but once in a while, some colors inspire me.  This odd-lot color of deep, rich purple is one of those… and I thought pairing it with this winter white color really set it off!  I kept thinking that it reminded me of royal attire... the colors are so deep and rich, and thus the name! Each bead in the set is unique!

Blushing Blooms
SOLD
11/16/05

Every once in a while when I show my work to my friends, I get a surprise.  I got the most amazing reaction from these beads!  Soft colors with big flowers really make a statement while staying pretty close to neutral colors.  There is a fair bit of pink in the background color, but it's not quite as intense as the photo shows… sort of a pinkish terra cotta.  They were made with a Zooziis press that makes thin beads that are very comfortable to wear!

Fall Into Aqua
STILL AVAILABLE

11/02/05:

Ah, more brown and aqua beads! I had to try my hand at these popular fall colors, and this is the result! Each bead starts with a brown core, and is then encased in a rich, deep brown color. I then added surface decorations using my favorite aqua. Boy does that aqua "pop"!

Silly String
SOLD
11/02/05

Hello! I'm probably showing my age here, but do you remember Silly String? That stuff that comes out of a can and goes all over the place? My brother and I used to shoot each other silly with it... What fun! These beads reminded me a little of that crazy stuff. They have a hand-made "twistie" of green and blue playfully running over jet black, shiny pillows. Yum!
