Technicolor Dreamcoat Have you seem the show, "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat"? There's a song in it about Joseph's coat where they sing a list of colors for what seems like forever. I felt like that laying out the colors for this set!! I must be feeling the effects of winter, because I find myself wanting to "bust out" and work with bright and wild colors. This set is the result, and I love it. It looks especially color-rich in sunlight, where all the hues really shine. I made them in pairs as I went, so you could use them either together or you could separate them... many design possibilities! Enjoy. |

Winding Runes I called this set Winding Runes, because while the scroll work gives them a distinctly modern feel, they have an ancient feel to them that's very earthy. I usually show off my weekend work to friends on Mondays. I must say that I had a hard time prying these out of their hands... I have never had folks linger over a bead set like this one. I'm so please with it, because it's a style departure for me. Created with an opal yellow base, and rolled in frit, I then decorated with encased stringer. I am showing a picture of both sides of the beads, so you can get a feel for what's going on on both sides. Enjoy! |

Spring Fling Here's another cute matched pair in bright spring colors! Just the thing to make a new spring piece for, or to wear now against the doldrums of winter. Enjoy! |

Visualize Whirled Peas This set obsessed me from the moment I made a test bead until I had finished it. The title just popped into my head and wouldn't go away!! I love how this lime frit reacted with the base color (coral), and I let the heat swirl the "peas" to varying degrees before encasing in yellow-green. Yummy. Are you hungry yet? |

Drunken Monet So, what would happen if Monet got drunk and then painted? A painting that looked like these beads, I think! I just love the vibrant colors that I let swirl and dance in the heat of the torch before I encased them to magnify that feeling of "liquidy goodness" that you get in certain beads. These are on the larger side and could be used together in a necklace or used as focals. Enjoy! |

Grammy's China Hello from snowy North Andover! If you saw some previous listings, you know that I've been enamoured of Lapis Cobalt with Ivory. When I was a kid, I loved to visit my Granda in Detroit. When we visited, she always brought out these great blue and white dishes... sort of that "blue willow" pattern. So when I created these beads, the colors reminded me of Grandma's China. These are an entirely different take on the theme... this time with small florals! |

Limeade Well, we've shovelled out from the blizzard, and now the weather is all melty here. It really made me thirsty for spring! Quench your own thirst with this rowdy set full of summer colors and fun! I had made a sample bead in this color and I loved it so much, I knew I had to make a whole set! Please note that the cube has a bubble in the casing layer, but I loved how it looked with the set and so included it. The beads were made with Moretti Pea Green, Yellow Green, Transparent Orange, and Opal Yellow. Drink up! (hiccup) |

Garden Party This week is just frit-tastic... I'm makng a lot of beads with frit, and this is my favorite by far! This Glass Diversions frit is called Monet. I decided to accent these gorgeous tabs with periwinkle beads that have green vines of pink roses of various sizes on them, so I had some fun with encased stringer work. It's a set with a lucious spring-time feel to it! I just hope we'll have the season to compliment the beads soon (send shovels, please). |

Rose Petals Hi everyone!! I got the prettiest new glass frit from Glass Diversions.... it's called appropriately, Pretty in Pink. After playing around with it for a bit, I created these soft, luscious beads. A friend at work helped me name them when she said, "They look like dried rose petals!" And they do have that look to them. A romantic addition to this week's listings, these focal-sized beads have numerous design options. Enjoy! |

Midnight Swim Hello! Can you tell that I just got a new batch of frit to play with? This set is made with a white core and some gorgeous reduction frit called Blue Lagoon. Reduction frit? What the heck is that, you ask?? Well, when you work it a certain way, it takes on an iridescent shine that is so pretty to look at! I didn't decorate these too heavily so that you can see that beautiful shine... kind of a bronze-y gold tone. I called them Midnight Swim because the color remind me of a moon-kissed lake. |

Tropical Treat Hello from snowy North Andover! With a dump of about 2 ft. of snow over the weekend, I think it's entirely possible that I was dreaming of someplace tropical! I create the beads using Moretti Dark Aqua and Medium Yellow and tons of clear encasing to give them shine and depth. Looking at them warms up my toes because I can imagine submerging them in beautiful white sand beach while overlooking calm, clear blue waters. |

My Grape Breakthrough Hello from snowy North Andover! This set represents a breakthrough for me on several technical fronts, and I am so excited to share it with you. I also fell absolutely in love with this combination of colors; I used Moretti Ink Blue (which is actually a deep purple) and Opal Yellow. I love how soft the results are. Enjoy! |

Sweet Treat Hello from snowy North Andover! I wanted to see how Moretti purple red and light pink would go together for Valentine's Day, and once I started, it was hard to stop. These beads are dotted, raked, wrapped, and decorated with stringer to make a delicious treat for someone sweet! |
